Gift Processor

The Morton Arboretum is a world-renowned nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and growing trees locally and globally. We are seeking a gift processor to join our team to add and update information in our constituent relationship management platform, Salesforce. The successful candidate will have prior experience working in an advancement/development office, comfortable working in a fast-paced setting, able meet deadlines, work independently and as part of a team. You’ll be part of a great team working together to make the Arboretum exceptional.
 

Position Summary:
Responsible for daily entry of development/membership related gifts within the constituent relationship management platform, Salesforce. This includes data and gift entry, event registration, reporting, and other related activities.

Essential Functions: 
  • Responsible for daily processing of development/membership contributions into the fundraising database. 
  • Responsible for ongoing weekly database audits and maintenance of gifts and membership transactions. 
  • Responsible for event entry and related reporting.
  • Enter and update constituent records in Salesforce.
  • Work with department colleagues to identify areas that can be improved through use of technology.
  • Assist with departmental special events and projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High school diploma required, some college experience preferred. Demonstrated computer and data entry proficiency and accuracy required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and experience using a fundraising database software preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills required. High degree of confidentiality required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred.
