Data Science/Engineering Intern

Curvo is looking for data-driven individuals who want to take projects from ideation all the way to production for use in our internal systems. This internship will be focused on three major projects and rely heavily on communication with many Curvo team members, writing advanced logic to accomplish our hardest implementation problems, and creating actionable goals to push the work done into our current workflows and data pipelines. This internship will focus on three projects

P1: Queuing Model for Better Timing of Data Uploads - Develop a model to assign a priority score to each data stream (file) so to better queue them

P2: Data Stream Regularization - Develop an aggregation workflow that standardizes all files into a single format

P3: Facility Data Outlier Detection - Create a model or system that detects outliers in the data, which can include but is certainly not limited to, file format, naming conventions, facility descriptions, etc.


Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Excel proficiency
  • General knowledge of statistical methods
  • Junior or Senior year in school

Bonus:

  • SQL, Python, Scala, other high-level programming languages
  • ML packages ie. Tensorflow, XGBoost, Scikit-Learn
  • Experience working with big data, specifically text data
  • Amazon Web Services ie. glue, lambda, S3
