Graphic Design Intern

JOB SUMMARY:
The Graphic Designer Intern will assist the Communications team in developing and executing internal and external marketing communication materials to differentiate and promote Tenneco products, brands and initiatives.
 
This individual is an enthusiast for the Tenneco brand, consistently executing the creative brand vision in traditional and digital assets including but not limited to collateral materials, advertising, website graphics, signage, and displays. 
 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in development and execution of original concepts for internal and external initiatives including but not limited to digital and traditional marketing assets for branding, product marketing campaigns, events, and employee communications.
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all materials ensuring brand identity characteristics, typography, photography, color, etc. are upheld
  • Manage projects from start to finish, communicating challenges and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Work with manager to evaluate, recommend and work with vendors to support projects as needed
  • Sustain a strong technical knowledge and understanding of current trends in graphic design, digital and print production
  • Ensure quality control of all deliverables while respecting deadlines and safeguarding delivered concepts are error-free
JOB REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                
 
 
EDUCATION:
Undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing, communications or related field required or working towards a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the above fields.
 
EXPERIENCE:
Previous internship experience preferred
 
REQUIREMENTS:
·        Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications.
·        Ability to understand cross-cultural differences and adapt concepts to meet multi-cultural and multilingual needs
  • Strong attention to detail, editing, and proofreading
  • Knowledge of printing procedures, photography, illustration
·        Knowledge of current trends and tools for using technology in marketing and communications capacities including internet, intranet, video, social media, apps, and asset management systems.
·        Understanding of graphic design, and digital and print production processes.
·        Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize projects on a global scale
  • Ability to work independently, balanced with strong team collaboration skills
  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter who can clearly convey their concepts
  • Technical skills: Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel; Video editing experience is a plus but not necessary
