Zip Ride Operator
Principle Responsibilities:
- Provide cheerful, helpful and efficient service to all Summit guests. Maintain a friendly, cheerful and helpful attitude to ensure that participants have a safe and enjoyable experience. Where possible address their needs and concerns, where not possible, steer them to someone who can.
- Supervise, facility, and instruct participants during the operations of individual Zip Ride
- Maintain a clean and efficient program area
- Fit participants with harness and helmet correctly and supervise the use of all personal protective equipment.
- Conduct participant orientation sessions and pre-screening
- Complete daily inspections of all course components and equipment
Qualifications & Training:
- Must be able to complete zip ride train (provided).
- Possess current First Aid and CPR and AED certification.
- Preferred: experience guiding/facilitating and managing others while 'at-height'.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment.
- Must be able to lift and handle materials up to 70 pounds.
- Must be comfortable with heights of 6'-180'.
- Must meet the Summit Bechtel Reserve's high adventure height/weight requirements as laid out in the Summit BSA Health & Medical Record.
