Summer Camp Operations Assistant/Intern
We Make Magic!
If you love to see folks' faces light up when you get them the perfect gift, camp operations is for you! While most operations roles take place "behind the scenes," at camp we have the unique opportunity to actively participate in the community we serve.
The role of the Operations Assistant or Intern is different every day! While there are some routines, camp can be unpredictable, and a great operations team is flexible, adaptive, and embraces a can-do spirit! On arrival and departure days, you may be asked to drive shuttles of staff and campers to and from the airport. Shuttles are a huge part of what makes our international camp community possible! On other days, you may be asked to run to Wal-Mart for a last-minute essential supply or food item. You may need to jump in the kitchen and help with a food delivery or prepare a snack. You could be sent on the mail run, handed the keys to the Camp Store, or directed to the barn to help bring the horses in for the morning! Every day is a small adventure with room to learn and grow.
Camp Life
As an Operations Assistant or Intern, you will live at camp and be a part of the camp community. Room & board is provided! While you'll certainly have busy days, you'll also have opportunities to relax and have fun in Minnesota's lake country. You'll be invited to swim in Lake Hubert, try your hand at activities, enjoy delicious s'mores, and, of course, tie dye!
Resumé Builder
If you're interested in pursuing a career in the camp industry, owning your own recreational business, or simply building your problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills, ask about how we can help you reach your goals! We are excited to work with students seeking class credit.
