What we do:
The Client Services team at The Trade Desk focuses on growing business from current clients through enhanced customer satisfaction and improved advertising campaign performance. They work with some of the largest brands and agencies in marketing today by helping them to capitalize on the benefits of programmatic advertising in digital media. The CS department offers a stellar career path for people interested in the data-driven side of marketing.
 
The two primary functions within Client Services offers talented professionals the opportunity to interact directly with marketers to make their advertising campaigns more effective. Account Management positions guide clients through The Trade Desk platform and drive value-added services and capabilities while encouraging feature adoption. Trading positions within CS analyze data to make optimization recommendations to clients based on insights and advanced capabilities. Both positions work together to provide clients with the highest level of customer service in the industry. This team collaboration has led to The Trade Desk having a client retention rate of over 95% for the past decade.  
 
What you’ll do:
The Client Services department of The Trade Desk is looking for data driven students who have a passion for media and advertising. Graduating students will be hired as a Client Service Associate and placed in a two-month training program where they will learn the benefits of programmatic advertising, platform capabilities of The Trade Desk, company culture, and the structure and operations of the Client Services department. After completing the training program individuals will be promoted into an Account Coordinator or Trading Analyst position and placed into a client group where they will learn how to provide critical services for clients and focus on a specific book of business.   

Timing:        Training program starts Monday, June 19, 2023 
Locations:  Chicago & New York 
 
Who you are:
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four-year university with an expected graduation between December 2022 – June 2023. Related course work in advertising, media, analytics, marketing, and/or data science preferred. 
  • Only students available to start full-time in mid-June 2023 will be considered 
  • Interest in technology and advertising with the ability to learn quickly 
  • Ability to collaborate with others, communicate effectively both in writing and in-person, project confidence while speaking in groups, and humbleness when learning from others
  • Ability to learn Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, chart-making and manipulation of large data sets
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Likewise, TTD, will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).

 
Account Coordinator

What you’ll do:
Learning the skillset of account management and starting to engage with clients including presenting 101 platform demonstrations and answering client requests. Supporting the wider business team through internal focused tasks for strategic accounts and serving as the main point of contact for selected accounts. The position is 90% focused on client work and 10% focused on internal projects. This is the entry level position for a career path within Account Management.
 
Account Management focuses on growing current client business by increasing platform usage and demonstrating the overall value of The Trade Desk capabilities to advertisers. Account management is responsible for maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and increasing advertising spending on the platform.
 
Core Competencies:
  • Beginning to develop technical savvy and customer focus and client communication skills
  • Learning how to prioritize time and tasks
  • Understand how value-added services drive client results and incorporating into client interactions
  • Picking up action items and executing on client accounts independently
  • Taking initiative on internal troubleshooting for larger accounts.

 Trading Analyst
 
What you’ll do:
Learning to analyze campaigns and making optimization and pacing recommendations to advertisers. Pull data for insights and review client presentations. Manage client troubleshooting issues, audience targeting and adding input to internal support requests. Directly working with select clients. The position is 90% focused on client work and 10% focused on internal projects. This is the entry level position for a career path within Trading.
 
Trading is the strategic function within Client Services that focuses on improving campaign performance for advertisers via data insights and proprietary platform capabilities. Trading is responsible for understanding a client’s marketing needs and identifying solutions that will generate superior business outcomes.
