Network Administrator- Atlanta, GA

Emagination STEM Camps is looking for outgoing and fun summer camp Network Administrators driven to make a difference in the lives of campers who are passionate about technology. Celebrating over 40 years at 6 US campus locations - Emagination STEM Camps delivers an innovative tech education that merges seamlessly with an awesome summer camp experience.

Be part of an amazing travel team and spend your summer at two different college/academy campuses. The adventure begins with a week of training at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA followed by four, fun and tech filled weeks of camp. Then travel with your team to the beautiful campus of Rosemont College, in Rosemont, PA for four additional weeks of camp. Work and live onsite in air-conditioned dorms with meals provided by the host campuses. Transportation from the first to second camp location is provided by Emagination STEM Camps.

As a Network Administrator, your goal is set up and maintain the camp network while creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Network Administrators teach up to two technology courses each week of camp using professionally developed curriculum provided by Emagination STEM Camps. Outside of the labs, Network Administrators meet with camper groups, supervise the dorms and lead camp programs and recreational activities.

Network Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Work with Emagination's CTO to set up and maintain a campus network of 60-100 machines
  • Daily backup and archive of camper work
  • Note and track any equipment that is added, returned or replaced
  • Perform diagnostics and maintenance on network or workstations as needed
  • Attend staff training week and complete all online pre-camp training
  • Live on campus with our campers and be responsible for their well-being during the day, evening and on the weekend - Provide supervision, care and nurturing
  • Teach tech workshops (curriculum provided) to campers ages 8-17 in a classroom setting 1:10 counselor to camper ratio
  • Lead recreation and other program activities including outdoor physical games, board and card games, computer-based activities and off-campus trips
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as required

Requirements:

  • Available to reside on location for a period of 9 weeks
  • Must be at least 18 years old by June 1
  • Successfully pass applicable background screenings and provide verifiable references
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in a summer camp environment
  • Desire to lead games, songs, classes, and other activities with groups of children
  • Use Emagination's provided curriculum to teach two or more courses:
