Music Counselor
A Music Counselor is a member of our performing arts staff. Our music program allows campers to explore music, being introduced to new instruments as well as giving campers the opportunity to expand their musical abilities if they already have experience. We provide general music classes as well as instrumental lessons in piano, guitar, drums, etc. Our music staff also help coordinate a weekly performance during our Saturday night cookout, a set of several songs to be performed by campers and staff. Camp Micah is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, hard working person with a passion for making music fun and exciting for youth.
Music Responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum for general music classes
- Teach beginner/intermediate instrumental lessons
- Assist with rehearsals for the Cookout Band
- Proper care and storage of equipment
Cabin counselor responsibilities
- Supervise campers at all times during the day and when on duty at night
- Support campers' physical, emotional, and mental well-being
- Participate and assist in special camp activities (evening activity, all camps, clinics, etc.)
