Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst


Principal Function: The Senior financial analyst/Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning, analysis and making financial projections for the entire organization. This individual will be responsible for forecasting future revenues and expenditures to establish and manage cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects. To enable business strategic planning and decision-making the Senior-level financial analyst will support the CEO, CSO and other executive-level team members with timely and accurate financial information and data analytics to set company-wide capital investment, resource planning, and policies.

The Financial Analyst will report directly to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Financial analyst should be able to leverage strong accounting and compliance backgrounds to explore historical financial data, predict future results and drive process and policy improvements. Day-to-day responsibilities for financial analysts include:
  • Lead financial analysis efforts and provide strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Analyzing current and past financial data and performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Preparing departmental budgets
  • Providing project costing analysis to support profit targets, and provide regular reports and financial projections based on this analysis
  • Evaluating capital expenditures and depreciation
  • Establishing and evaluating profit plans
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct variance analysis to track financial performance against budget and forecast projections
  • Managing and coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • Providing financial models and forecasting
  • Development and maintenance of a convenient financial dashboard that contains timely information.
  • Promotes B2S Life Sciences externally to clients, professional organizations, and public.
  • Exploring investment opportunities

Requirements

Job-Related Competencies
  • MBA or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a financial analyst with proven success
  • Familiarity with contemporary data analytics tools
  • Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software.
  • Strategic thinking in a team setting
  • Good inter-personal skills, professionalism, and high integrity
  • Great presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade in a team setting
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and related technologies (SalesForce experience a plus)
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
  • Willingness to work long hours, when necessary
  • Thorough understanding of project management
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
