Entry-Level Cybersecurity Fellowship with Federal Government Agency

Join the exclusive ranks of cyber defenders who safeguard our nation’s digital infrastructure from global threats. The Cybersecurity Talent Initiative aims to recruit and train a world-class cybersecurity workforce. The program is a selective opportunity for recent graduates in cybersecurity-related fields to gain access to vital public sector work experience, develop a cross-sector cyber professional network and build their leadership skills.
 
Fellows selected for the program will be placed in a full-time role at a federal government agency with cybersecurity needs for two years. By working for major federal agencies and learning from innovative cyber leaders in the public and private sectors, participants will develop the skills and knowledge to strengthen our nation’s cybersecurity capabilities and tackle emerging global threats.
 
Previous placement sites include the U.S. Department of State, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Census Bureau, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Department of Defense, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Secret Service and more.

Program Benefits:
  • Two-year placement in a full-time cybersecurity role at a federal agency with salary and benefits (Location of placement varies upon agency)

Program Eligibility
  • U.S. citizenship at the time of application submission
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited educational institution in an undergraduate or graduate cybersecurity-related degree program, or a recent graduate who graduated between January 2022 and August 2024
  • 3.0 GPA or Higher
  • Completion of a cybersecurity-related degree (For example, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, etc.) prior to the start date

November 8, 2023. Offers will be made between spring-summer 2024
