Sports/Digital Sports Intern
Sports Interns will gain hands-on experience working on challenging, meaningful projects with guidance from various members of our sports team.
Sports Internships are 32 hours per week in the summer and 16 hours per week in the fall/spring. Sports Internships are unpaid and last the duration of the semester. This internship must be taken for course credit.
The Sports Intern will:
- Shoot and edit footage
- Transcribe interviews
- Log games
- Shadow sports reporters and producers on daily duties
- Produce a sports package for experience
The Digital Sports Intern will:
- Learn to develop and execute sports social media content and wishtv.com content for WISH-TV sports talent
- Learn to interpret social media analytics
- Contribute to the growth of all station sports social media pages
An ideal intern will have:
- Communication, sports media, or journalism major
- 3.0 GPA or higher
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
