UGA Data Warehouse ETL Developer
Position Summary:
The Data Warehouse ETL Developer will work with a high-performance business intelligence team to manage and continue development of the University of Georgia’s data warehouse. The candidate is responsible for working with best practice data management tools to plan, design, and implement data warehouse solutions that best support the reporting and operational data needs of the organization. The position collaborates with the Office of Institutional Research staff, central DBAs, and business/functional analysts to deliver a high ROI for the institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle
- Experience with Python
- Experience in a Higher Education environment
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience with Tableau
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
- Experience with relational database systems such as SQL Server and Oracle
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Familiarity with the SQL Server BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
- Conceptual, relational, and dimensional data modeling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and functional staff at all levels in the organization
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and complex environment.
