UPMC Corporate is hiring a EEO/AA Compliance Analyst to join our team!  This role will work Monday through Friday during standard business hours.  The role will have a hybrid schedule after training is completed.   The position will be able to work from home three days a week and be onsite at the US Steel Tower two days a week.

Under the general direction of the Manager, HR Compliance, the EEO/AA Compliance Analyst Associate provides data analysis, reporting, and project management related to Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, Form I-9 and system wide HR Policy compliance for UPMC. This entry level position works in conjunction with the HR Compliance team and UPMC Legal department and Human Resources staff to ensure that UPMC is properly monitoring compliance with federal regulations related to EEO/AA, Form I-9 and system wide HR policy compliance. This primarily includes: Form I-9 compliance support, supporting affirmative action and government reporting, HR Policy/Procedure support, integrations work support, verifying validity of reports, analyzing employment data from the HRIS system for validity, compiling diversity statistics and assisting the HR staff in maintaining accurate data.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • May participate in training recruiters and other human resources staff on compliance and the policies and procedures that apply.
  • May participate in local Industry Liaison Group discussions; attend local OFCCP technical assistance sessions or EEO/AA workshops to maintain knowledge of current EEO compliance issues and changes in federal regulations.
  • May provide support for system-wide Labor Law Poster compliance.
  • May assist with annual preparation of the EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports as required by the federal government, including data validation.
  • May assist with internal HR audits by running reports and providing data analysis to assess compliance with federal guidelines and system wide HR policies.
  • Fulfill requests for ad hoc reporting and data analysis from HR Compliance staff members.
  • Support HR Compliance staff HR Policy and Procedure review processes.
  • Provide administrative support during outside entity integration efforts.
  • Act as a main support to Human Resources and Managers in the completion of the Form I-9. Support users of the electronic I-9 management system, monitor compliance, and provide consultation on all activities related to Form I-9 compliance including I-9 completer training.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and recruitment staff to ensure data integrity and compliance of new systems and interfaces.
  • Identify trends and process improvement opportunities in the management of complex data sets.
  • Run applicant flow reports. Review data for accuracy, investigate data discrepancies, and conduct statistical analyses. Report findings to management.
  • Assist in the review of data in the HRIS/ATS system for validity on an on-going basis. Communicate findings, including problem areas and/or patterns.
  • Participate in the preparation of all data components of OFCCP Compliance Reviews and provide continual support throughout the desk audit stage, on-site review, and beyond if necessary. Includes: generating reports, data validation, investigation of discrepancies, and communication of findings.

Qualifications - Internal

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Human Resources, Business or related field OR High School and four years of EEO/AA data analysis experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, communications, problem solving, and project management skills are required.
  • Previous I-9 management experience preferred. 
  • Previous power bi experience preferred. 
  • Experience in utilizing human resource information systems and applicant tracking systems is preferred, including running of reports.
  • Must possess high-level analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective data-analysis and trouble shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of employment law, EEO, AA, and HR functions including employment and recruiting processes is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate through verbal and written documentation the ability to understand and interpret employment and other HR-related data.
  • Requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be flexible and able to change direction as needed.
