Technical System Engineer

Client: Fifth Third Bank

Location: Madisonville, OH

Working Environment: On-site

GENERAL FUNCTION: 

This role is part of Brooksource's Elevate Program working with Fifth Third Bank. The System Engineer will be required to conduct in sprint and end-to-end testing on ATM applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, and functional requirements are being met. This includes both software testing of purchased vendor packages and/or internally developed code as well as testing of system hardware. You will be responsible for creating and executing test scripts based on test strategy/plans to identify defects before production. This position includes manual/automated scripts to certify production health and/or identify post-production defects

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing detailed test cases and procedures for all new features and/or functional changes
  • Executing different types of testing such as Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Risk Mitigation Testing, Smoke Testing etc.
  • Preparing test reports detailing the results of testing
  • Re-imaging system, installing software, configuring system
  • Diagnosing hardware issues
  • Analysis of new features, reported issues, verification of fixes
  • Documentation of new information and/or procedures to expand overall team knowledge
  • Managing card data in a test environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUESTED

  • Good hands on to overall testing process like Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Risk Mitigation Testing, Smoke Testing etc.
  • Expertise in preparing the Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases & Test Data Setup
  • Defect Management
  • Strong problem-solving & collaboration skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
