Technology Media Associate

The Technology Media Associate contributes to the overall mission of Zion Elementary Dist. 6 and the Technology Department to provide technology support for student accessibility to educational programs and learning opportunities. This is a swing shift position, 10am - 7pm, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree desired and/or equivalent experience
- Skills in basic desktop computers and wireless devices
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Organized and has ability to multi-task
- Superior task and problem analysis skills

Job Duties
- Level 1 Tech Support
- Tier 1 on site rapid response support to assist in basic troubleshooting for school related technology issues including:
- Chromebooks
- Phones
- Printers/Copiers
- Badge Readers
- Projectors, SMART Boards, and Interactive Panels
- Basic PC Hardware Setup/Support (Mouse, keyboard, doc camera, monitors, and speakers)
- Audio/Video Setup and support
- Data cabling
- Network Connectivity
- Wireless Connectivity
- Electronic Device Management
- Manage inventory of school devices and insure proper procedures and documentation are followed
- Device inspection including periodic sanitation and cleaning
- Manage device pick-up and drop-off in classrooms throughout the school day
- Assist in device asset tagging and deployment
- Technology setup for any school events as needed including:
- Testing setup
- School events
- After school programs
- Responsible for Check-in/Check-Out of electronic equipment including:
- Student Devices
- Headphones
- Staff Devices
- A/V Equipment
- Insure proper documentation for device damage and support related issues
- Communicate with building administration and technology department for any device related issues
- State & Local Testing Support
- Provide troubleshooting support to students and staff for online testing
- Help to maintain the integrity of the testing environment
- Provide training to staff for testing facilitation
- Staff/Student/Support Staff Reference
- Provide support training for staff and students in the building including:
- Printers/Copiers/Phones
- Badge Readers
- Projectors, SMART Boards, Interactive Panels
- Basic PC Hardware Setup/Support (Mouse, keyboard, doc camera, monitors, and speakers)
- Assist Support Staff and Substitute Staff in technology setup.
- Assist with building level registration, open house, family nights, parent-teacher conferences and other events as directed by building administration and technology department
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
