Architectural Interior Design Internship - Summer 2024

Design Collaborative’s College Interns are explorers, sponges, and team players. From day one, they’re integrated into one of our three market studios in the office and immediately become a member of the team. At the beginning, a manager or mentor meets with them to discuss overall competencies and expectations, and they are assigned project work appropriate to their experience levels. They participate in all stages of project design, including Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration. They help with and participate in graphic or verbal presentations to clients and contractors, and they are involved with on-site activities, including but not limited to documentation of existing structures, field surveys, and job site visits. As interns grow in their skills, they continue to be assigned increased responsibilities within their team appropriate to their abilities while still allowing ample opportunities for growth and increased exposure.
