About the Job

Operating as part of our research team, the research analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day execution and management of our research programs, including collecting and organizing data, aggregating and visualizing key data points and trends, and developing written reports utilizing data sets. In addition, this individual will also be expected to develop an understanding of, and ultimately relationship with, certain portions of members in the BuiltWorlds network. As the individual closest to the data and research we perform, this individual must be analytical, a strong writer, comfortable presenting data and developing relationships, and most importantly, be intellectually curious.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, edit, and publish written research reports and articles derived from proprietary research and industry trends in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain data collected through BuiltWorlds research programs.
  • Update and maintain company databases including case studies, member, investor, company, and other content databases on our website.
  • Lead planning & programming of analyst calls, forum meetings, and events. Assist in planning and programming events, including weekly analyst calls, monthly forum meetings, and conferences. This includes identifying topics and speakers, preparing presentation materials, and assisting with outreach to members interested in attending.
  • Identify and understand hot-button topics, gaps, and areas of need across the AEC industry.
  • Maintain an overall knowledge of BuiltWorlds Members to support research throughout the year and to promote deeper engagement with the members.
  • Support member acquisition, onboarding, and renewal efforts.
  • Assist in account management activities with BuiltWorlds' member companies related to research activities. This includes establishing and developing relationships with company contacts by proactively reaching out to gather product and company information as well as ensuring companies are aware of and participating in BuiltWorlds products and programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage surveys & work with other research analysts to coordinate survey development and curation.
  • Upgrade surveys for survey periods.
  • Lead benchmarking activities for survey & research data. Drive survey participation efforts.
  • Organize / synthesize data and develop visualizations.
  • Write / collaborate with content marketing on weekly briefings and top lists.
  • Program and lead construction tech analyst calls.
  • Continuously work with tech companies to gather functionality / product data to include in reports.
  • Manage / maintain / assist with company profiles / databases in WP & HS.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • GPA: 3.5+
  • 0-2 years of experience in consulting, industry/market research, data analytics, corporate R&D, or other relevant B-to-B services
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be willing to engage in public speaking.
  • Experience creating and delivering briefing-style presentations in business settings.
  • Demonstrated a passion for innovation and next-generation technology.
  • Self-starter who can operate autonomously in a startup environment.

 

Additional Qualifications that are a Plus:

 

  • Knowledge of or experience in buildings or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience creating business-oriented briefings or reports.
  • Experience working in digital-first and/or startup companies.
