Commercial Finance Paralegal
The well-respected Chicago law firm of Goldberg Kohn is looking for an experienced commercial finance paralegal to support our busy Commercial Finance Group. The role plays an integral part in the success of the Commercial Finance group and requires leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong work-ethic.
This position qualifies for a hybrid schedule, depending on the needs of the Group and the firm. Some flexibility is required; overtime will be expected, in accordance with pending deadlines. Required knowledge, skills and ability include:
- Assist attorneys to prepare transaction documents/materials
- Run, order and summarize UCC, state and federal lien, judgment, litigation, bankruptcy, and intellectual property searches
- Assist in the preparation and filing of UCC and intellectual property filings
- Obtain certificates of good standing/certificates of existence/organizational documents
- Manage, review and organize due diligence materials
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of commercial finance paralegal experience or a paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intellectual Property experience is a plus
