About the Business 

The Scoop is an ice cream shop in downtown Zionsville seving 28 gourmet flavors, hand spun shakes, and specialty cocktails. During the summer we host weekly live music, cater a variety of private events, and take our ice cream carts to festivals and other local events. 

About this role

The Scoop is looking for an outgoing, hardworking, eager to learn individual to join our team as an entrepreneurship intern! In this role, you’ll work directly with the business owner and get hands on experience in every aspect of running a small business including banking/ bookkeeping, product creation and launching, marketing, customer service, and people management. 

On a day to day basis, you will essentially acting as an assistant manager while also working on other projects and research related to business opportunities. Examples of past projects include proposals for new product lines, designing new marketing materials and assisting in running social media, finding innovative new ways to streamline current processes, and researching and proposing ways to grow specific aspects of the business. 

On the assistant manager side, you’ll be leading a few shifts a week, bartending, setting up for live music, delegating to other employees on your shifts, and preparing for special events.

We are looking for someone who is creative, has lots of ideas, has great communication skills, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Great communication skills
• Bartenders/servers license- we will pay for this if you don't have it already!
• Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
• Previous food service work is a plus
