Interior Design Intern

We are actively seeking Interior Design students who are passionate about enhancing their skill set through a Summer Interior Design Internship at a commercial interior design firm and MillerKnoll dealership. Our expertise lies in crafting branded spaces for various sectors, including workplace, financial, retail, and hospitality. This summer internship is available within the Interior Design department and is ideal for a design student aiming to gain valuable professional experience.

 

To thrive in this role, we are looking for individuals who are keen on learning, can collaborate effectively, are proactive in seeking guidance from the team, and are comfortable working not only with staff in their regional office but also with colleagues in our regional offices across North America.

GENERAL SKILLS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge with InDesign
  • Knowledge with Revit and/or AutoCAD

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist Interior Designers with gathering samples and creating design concepts
  • Creating documents for client presentation 
  • Assisting with construction documents and specifications
  • Generate and assemble presentations boards and/or finish boxes for projects
  • Maintain the interior design library
  • Interface with manufacturer’s representatives to order samples
  • Perform all other related work, as assigned or as apparent*

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES 

  • Currently enrolled with an Interior Design or Interior Architecture program required
  • Completion of your second year in an undergraduate program is required
  • Completion of an entry level Revit course is required
