Position Summary:

The Alexia Network Foundation seeks a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Grant Writing Coordinator Intern. This role will provide valuable experience in grant writing, research, and project coordination within the non-profit sector. The Grant Writing Coordinator Intern will work closely with our development team to identify funding opportunities, draft compelling grant proposals, and assist in managing grant-related activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grant Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other sources aligned with the mission and programs of The Alexia Network Foundation.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in developing grant proposals, including drafting narratives, compiling supporting documents, and ensuring adherence to funder guidelines and requirements.
  • Grant Management: Support the grant management process by tracking deadlines, coordinating with program staff to gather necessary information, and maintaining accurate records of grant submissions, awards, and reporting requirements.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members to gather information, data, and stories to strengthen grant proposals. Communicate effectively with funders, partners, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Participate in monitoring and evaluating the impact of funded projects, including collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and documenting success stories.
  • Professional Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities to enhance grant writing, fundraising, and non-profit management skills. Actively seek feedback and incorporate lessons learned into future projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., communications, English, nonprofit management, public administration).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to convey complex ideas concisely.
  • Excellent research skills, including gathering, synthesizing, and presenting information from diverse sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with online research databases.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to the mission and values of The Alexia Network Foundation.
