Sales Operations Internship

Wholesale customers include numerous department stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor and Dillard’s, specialty retailers such as Stitch Fix, Amazon, as well as over 1,300 specialty boutiques. Additionally, the company has a fast growing Direct to Consumer (DTC) business via a company owned website (www.Lyssé.com). With significant growth potential, Lyssé has made it a priority to heavily invest in each channel and the sales operations specialist touches every department!  

 

Job Summary

This job is a unicorn. Very rare for a fashion forward opportunity to be in the heart of Indianapolis, IN. This job in an exceptional career opportunity to learn from the ground up. Lyssé is looking for a Sales Ops Specialist who will work with our Sales leaders and President to drive efficiency, coordination, administration and partnership with all business lines to grow sales and exceed corporate/divisional goals and objectives.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Administrative:

  • Assistance with order entry and customer order confirmations
  • Back-end client set up and organizational support
  • ERP data facilitation and relevant cross-functional daily/weekly reporting
  • Salesforce organization, build-out, and support
  • Majors & etailer reporting organization and set up
  • Monthly board deck set-up and facilitation
  • Facilitation of website and wholesale returns logging
  • Clearing system backlogs and helping keep relevant systems clean and updated
  • Meeting set up and note-taking / recaps
  • Shared file maintenance

Trade Shows & Events

  • Trade show coordination and logistics planning
  • Collection set-up, organization, and coordination to and from national trade shows
  • Sample coordination to shows and external reps
  • Liaising with shipping and sales to ensure timely shipments
  • Coordination with marketing for collateral development
  • Administrative duties in support of event-related needs
  • Occasional travel to national shows when appropriate

Customer Service

  • Account Management support and customer-service related tasks
  • New Business support and sample deployment and logging
  • Sample handling and coordination
  • Potential client-related outreach tasks as needed


REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • College student working towards a merchandising or business degree
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required
  • Candidate must have an innate sense of urgency towards customer responsiveness.
  • Ability to work independently. Sets appropriate priorities to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Handles multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated.
  • Work is accurate, timely and complete.
  • Takes independent action to resolve problems/projects.
  • Communicates effectively with sales manager, internal and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel.
  • Astute attention to detail.
  • Driven by a sense of urgency and able to prioritize work to maximize your impact.
